My 3 1/2 year old wanted a Saxophone from Santa this year...I did alot of research before I finally decided to go with this one. The main reason I choose this saxophone was because you can actually blow to make the music...most of the other saxophone's for this age group are pretend. My son was so excited when he came down Christmas morning and saw it under the tree, it was a perfect size, the notes actually sound nice when playing and he was able to pick it up and immediately start using it without any problems. Highly recommended for the price.
